Mimo Studio privacy policy

Mimo Studio is made by Zabzu LLC (“we”), a Wyoming limited liability company. This policy explains what Mimo Studio collects, why, who it is shared with, and how to delete it. Mimo Studio is in development; we will update this policy before and whenever its data practices change.

Your photos and videos stay on your phone

Mimo Studio reads the photos and videos you allow it to see, to build posts and reels. Your originals, the media index, on-device image labels, your drafts and your conversation with Mimo stay on your phone. Mimo reads file names, album names and dates, but not location or other photo metadata. Phone backups of Mimo’s data are turned off.

Accounts

You can use Mimo on your phone without an account. If you create one, we store your email address and a salted hash of your password, or, if you continue with Google, your verified Google email and Google account identifier. We do not store your name or photo from Google, or any Google tokens. Sessions last 30 days and are stored as one-way hashes; on your phone the session is encrypted by Android Keystore.

The AI assistant

When you ask Mimo for help, our server sends OpenAI your message, your creative brief and project, your preferences, and descriptions of up to 50 media items (file name, album, date, duration, on-device labels and a quality score). Only if you separately opt in, up to 3 small preview images are sent too. Storage at OpenAI is turned off. Requests and results are kept on our server for up to 7 days, and queued requests that never run expire after 24 hours.

Publishing to Instagram and Facebook

If you connect an Instagram professional account or a Facebook Page, we store its identifier, name and an encrypted access token. When you publish, the video you chose is uploaded to our server and Meta fetches it through a temporary link; we also store your caption, schedule and the resulting post ID. Meta’s own policies apply to what you publish.

Other information

We keep usage and cost records for AI requests, an activity log for security (deleted after 90 days), and rate-limit counters keyed by a one-way hash that includes your IP address. Mimo has no advertising, analytics or crash-tracking tools, and we do not sell personal information. Image labelling runs on your phone with Google ML Kit.

Permissions

Photos and videos (or only the ones you select), notifications for long renders and uploads, and background processing while a video is being made. No camera, microphone or location.

Deleting your data

“Delete my Mimo account” in Settings disconnects your social accounts and deletes your account, sessions, AI requests, uploaded videos, drafts and activity log from our server, and removes that account’s drafts from your phone. You can also email [email protected] to ask for deletion.

Children

Mimo Studio is not directed to children under 13.
